Despite a bed being created for comfort,
it can be a place that cannot be escaped whilst you’re stuck between the daze
of asleep and awake. I captured a dormant expression featuring impassive
exhaustion. Then apprehending this chaos of the portrait is a mosquito net,
which gives an appearance of tranquility. Additionally book pages highlight
words articulated in the mind of a sleepless person. They contain crazy mumbles
and thoughts. The video performance piece features the reality of my own sleep
deprivation. This footage features sounds of rustling which is a stark
composition to the noiseless room it is featured in.
