The emotions experienced when viewing a
dangerous sport can be conflicting. The emotion on my subjects face after his fight seems serene,
yet he has just been competing in Muay Thai, an intense Martial Art. I wanted to show how emotionally involved
someone can be when committed to their sport, and working hard to achieve goals
they had set for themselves and the contemplative pose reflects this.
“Vincit que se vincit”………. “He conquers
who conquers himself”.
