“Mother And Child”
Digital Print

Stories were my childhood.  Mum would sometimes read to me at night. But then I grew up. My reliance on my mother for any emotional support dwindled. Lessons on life I learn from stories in books and shows on TV- an addiction to fantasy - real life is a blip on my TV screen. When life is bland like black and white static, I turn to a life of fictional characters. It transports me back to childhood. The emotions and stresses of the real world fade away, becoming a blur in the background. TV and stories are now parental guides.
