“Reflections”
Graphite, coloured pencil on paper
This artwork is a personal reflection of the self. The
work illustrates the journey I have travelled in the last year and how I have
been affected by certain situations, experiences, family and friends. The
innocence of the eyes juxtaposed against the chaos of the entangled hair
represents the bumpy road travelled and the many forks in my journey to
adulthood. The red apple is symbolic of the many temptations and choices that
await, and the unknown fate that lies ahead.
