“Void”
Triptych Abstract Paintings in oil
My work
focuses on the nature of the void.
Our concept of “Artists Condition” implied a reality in the here and
now, what then I asked myself of alternate realities abstracts reachable only
through the void, or spaces between the real. My work is an attempt to drag the two dimensions
together. To begin this journey I
researched Mark Rothko and his “multiforms”, his works are a series of colour
field experiments seemingly random, complimentary colours blurred together on
large canvases. My work is
reflective of this style through five canvases, 3 of which I present here.
