“Impermanence”

I have created a metaphoric evolution
that invites the audience to consider how new things can emerge in subtle and
unexpected ways. ‘Impermanence’ focuses on how life is continuously changing in
subtle and creative ways, but we expect permanence (of species, self, landforms
etc.). Our idea of a cycle of life, dust is to dust and ashes to ashes can be
disrupted. My work is based upon an obvious environmental context as well as a
spiritual one. I have used free-hand drawing as my main technique, using
directional line to create texture and layering.
